Upon deplaning in San Juan, follow the signs to the baggage claim/ground transportation area on the lower level of your terminal. Exit the terminal & straight to the taxi area. Tell a taxi concierge and the driver that you are going to Hotel La Playa in 'Isla Verde'. The ride should take approximately 5 minutes and have a fixed rate/cost of $15-20.00 depending on time of day, fuel surcharge, number of passengers and luggage. Tips are customary if the driver provides good service. Tips are not included in the fixed rate on your receipt.

Reliable car rentals

Major US car rental companies have counters near the baggage-claim areas in each terminal. Several other rental car companies are located a short distance from the airport, but will send a shuttle bus to pick you up at your terminal. Check with your car rental agency for details. All rental car lots are off-site & provide a shuttle to and from the terminals.
